Introducing
Sean Lally,
The Study Coach
Hi, my name is Sean Lally. I have been coaching students and parents on How to study effectively and efficiently for over 10 years. Many students struggle when it comes to effective learning and I help by explaining how to increase focus, develop a stronger memory and learn HOW to learn.
I can’t thank Sean Lally enough for the work he did with my son, also Sean, over the past year.
His passion for what he does is evident from the moment you meet him – I have no doubt it was this which “won over” my son as he hadn’t much interest in studying before our sessions withe Sean.
I attended a parent seminar online (which I would have gladly paid for but there was no charge) and my son then attended a students seminar and he did some one-to-one work later in the year with Sean.
He is now more focused, a lot happier in school and I feel that he knows what to do when it comes to his homework and his studying. Before this it was so random, usually with a lot of panic, fighting at home and sometimes complete chaos. I used to think “that’s teenagers” but I’m happy to say that things are more balanced with the fighting now to do with going out with friends.
I wish Sean Lally was around when I was doing the Leaving Cert, it would have made my life a lot easier.
I’m a fifth year student and Sean asked me to send him an email on my experience with him over the last few months.
I was at one of his seminars (in-person) after my mam heard about him from her friend. I was sceptical at first and didn’t really want to attend but I’m very glad I did.
I was frustrated that I didn’t do as well in my junior cert as I thought I should and I was blaming Covid but I wasn’t really able to study because I didn’t know how to.
I was wasting a lot of time, doing the wrong things and not getting anywhere a lot of the time.
Sean was able to help me out and show me what to do instead and also show me what to stop doing.
I would advise anyone who feels like they’re wasting a lot of time and not doing as well in exams as they think they should to attend one of Sean’s workshops. I know he does them online too but I was at the one in the hotel near me.
I’m definitely better prepared for leaving cert year now and I feel calmer in my approach. I don’t fear going back in September like I did in other years. Thanks Sean for all the work you did with me and for answering all the questions on the emails for myself and my mam.
